EyeTV Hybrid can no longer tune TV

2012 Mini, High Sierra, EyeTV 3.6.9 (7528) North American 2009 Hybrid with FM.

Sometime in the last week or so I've lost the ability to tune in TV. When I try to auto-tune it runs through all the channels and finds none. All I get is "no signal."

All my FM channels are still there and work fine.

Connected to an antenna cable that runs to an antenna in my attic normally, also tried connecting to a stand-alone antenna, still "no signal." About miles from downtown Chicago as the crow flies, should be able to get 10s of channels even without an antenna so I know it's not the signal. Also bedroom mac with same OS/EyeTV version and 2009 Hybrid is working just like always.

I've tried everything I can think of, and swapped in another unit (I bought up several backups off eBay a few years ago) and it's the same.

Would appreciate ideas for what else to try, thanks.

I have a TV tuner Eyetv Hybrid. I have a new PC with Windows 11 that I can't install, I can't find drivers. On another PC that initially had Windows 10 and on which this tuner TV works without problems, it works without problems even after Windows 11 update.

What drivers are good for Windows 11? Thanks!

Hey community,

so I'm relentlessly trying to get my VCR hooked up to my EyeTV Hybrid, which I have used to digitalize some VHS tapes a while ago, which was working flawlessly back then, I believe it was back in 2017 when I was still on EyeTV 3 and an old OSX version.
When I hook it up now and tried to get it running via EyeTV 4 I do only get a black screen via composite and it won't display any video playback from my VCR. Also hooked up a old XBOX 360 via composite which gave me the same result with a black screen.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there any solution, besides getting an old system which runs with EyeTV 3?!

I have an eyetv hybrid bought 2007, included software is eyetv 2 (does not work with catalina I guess).
Is there anything I can do with this piece of hardware? Does it work with eyetv 4?

hi there, I have the following problem: eyeTV hybrid with its USB-A jack provides me wonderful TV on the former iMac 21.5. NOW, I switched to iMac 24" but cannot receive TV. the radio signal would not transfer the channel contents like series etc. I have grabbed some USB-C jacks from an Apple store. No signal. And not even Apple hotline can provide help, let alone the Chinese producer and developer Geniatech.

Could you possibly help me please?

In this machine I have mojave, that until last Monday 08/06/2020 everything worked correctly on Tuesday it has stopped working I have tried another machine that I have Sierra and the same thing happens. As it is possible that from one day to the next it stops working. Still there is a fault or a component has been burned. Thank you very much for putting up with my questions.

I have just moved from antenna TV (Elgato Diversity) to cable TV (Elegato Hybrid). I am using MacOS Catalina.

And now my program Guide is a mess. Channels 1-24 are on the top, but actually useless, while the cable channels start from number 100, but are on line 25.

I have tried to get the cable channels in the same order as the antenna channels were.

I only want to see only the cable channels, no need for antenna channels.

Is there a way?

This awfully bug-ridden app (worst I have ever seen in my 32 years as a Mac professional). EyeTV 3 had its quirks, but this is a completely different animal altogether.

Is there anyone at Geniatech who actually developes EyeTV 4?

Been using EyeTV for over 10 years now. I do love the concept.

I like to try to use a lost and found eyeTV hybrid, but I am not successful. The license code of the package is known, but not accepted. This activation code and module were part of the same sealed package.

I work with MAC 11.1 (Big Sur).

Any reasom why this may occur?

My eyetv Activation Key does not work. I have typed it exactly as it is printed on the card (all upper case with hyphens) but it will not permit me to go any further (the NEXT button is greyed out).

Having the episode's info displayed is very helpful. Instead of having to click on the info icon.

I just purchased an EyeTV Hybrid last week with the understanding that the new software EyeTV 3 now supported HD signals from the Hybrid. However, when I do an exhaustive scan I only find SD DVB-T channels. Is there some special setting required to get the HD channels?

the device doesn't work on windows 10. I downloaded and installed THC. I downloaded the drivers for windows 10 but the S.O. doens't find the usb device.

My device has a few years but on IMAC works fine (some problems occasionally on detection).

Are you sure the eyetv hybrid is compatible with Windows 10?

I replaced my ageing Miglia TV Mini/Eye TV 3.6.9 with a new EyeTV Hybrid/EyeTV 4, both running on a 64 bit iMac/ Catalina 10.15.2 and connected to a TV aerial amplifier. I am in the UK.

Previously, I had no trouble with reception, although I was having a problem with scheduled recordings ending prematurely. With the new setup, TV reception is appalling on most channels - slow to start up, picture jumps forward and breaks up, audio likewise. The exceptions are the BBC HD channels, which come through perfectly. What is going on?

Hi - I have been using my Eye TV Hybrid to watch and record Sky programmes on my MacPro for many years. I am now having to upgrade to Sky Q. Unfortunately the Sky Q master box and the Sky Q Multiroom Mini Box does not have an RF out socket so I can no longer connect my Eye Tv hybrid to my Sky box via the house RF wiring system. With the Sky Multi room product I will get a Sky Q mini box which has a HDMI output socket, usually used to connect to a TV. I have found a HDMI to RF adapter online which, in theory, might allow me to connect the Sky Q Mini box to my Eye TV Hybrid. Can anyone tell me if this would work? Are the signals coming out of the Sky Mini box compatible to the Hybrid? If not, would they be compatible with any of the other Eye TV hardware? I am quite happy to invest in new hardware if it will give me the connection I need. Also, because I will no longer be connected too the house arial system, will I loose the Freeview capabilities of the Hybrid?

Hi, I tried to connect my Sony Handicam Vision (Hi8 VCR and player) with RCA cables to my EyeTv. I have EyeTv 3 downloaded on my Mac (running Mac Os 10.13.6) but it's receiving no signal. Anyone could help? Thanks!
