Need to scan for channels every time

Hello everyone,

I have a Netstream 4C and I use the Nestream app on iPhone and iPad.

Every time I close the app and re-open it I need to scan for channels again because the Channels list ist empty.

The app finds channels but the list gets wiped out after closing.

Any ideas to solve this?

I'm happy to be able to access my tuner running on an intel iMac running MacOS 13 Ventura. However this has never worked with the tuner on my M1 Mac mini running MacOS 14 Sonoma. Do others users see the same issue? Does Genitech have any plans to update the app?

Eyetv worth getting for iPhone or iPad

Most of the posts are older, I just updated my eyetv from 3 to 4 and it seems to be working well.

I'm just wondering if the iPhone/iPad app is worth getting or is it not working very good. Anybody using iOS 16.x??

No video away from home

Hello, I have tried multiple version of the eyetv3 on my Mac but I can't get any video on my iPhone while away from home.

I only get video on the iPhone app when I am under my home WiFi.

My system details are:

macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.3

eyeTV HD (same problem if HomeRun HD is hooked up)

Any ideas or advice is appreciated.

Neither the app "DTV Netstream" nor "eyeTV Netstream" can find the Netstream box, and they crash (hang).

ipad version not to use,

For sereral hours I tried to sort the sender list by deleting unwanted senders and rearanging the wanted ones. After deleting 4 to 5 senders I habe to close eyeTV completely because it becomes slower with every deleted sender. After the normally fifth one the software doesnˋt respond any more.

After restarting I can delete the next 4 to 5 senders before I have to restart again. But after 7 or 8 restarts the sender list is empty and eyetv has even forgotten which satellites were selected.

What a shame for a former good working program!

On Catalina 10.15.7 here is running EyeTV 4 (8526)
This is connectet to a Triax SatIP and works well.

MyEyeTV is connected and ready

Iphone and Ipad can connect and show the list of programms.

One Programm choosen, there comes a loading-bar that stucks at the end.

Would be happy für any hint how to solve this

Sound gone on iOS

On iOS 14.7 the sound is gone on my iPhone 12. On the iPad the sound is missing too. This goes on for weeks now. I did not pay 29 Euro for software (mac 64bit) that does not work anymore. Please fix the problem!

Can anyone help me find EyeTV 4 build 8520 ? EyeTV 8521 doesn't work properly (many HD channels are choppy and unviewable). This wasn't a problem with 8520. You help would be much appreciated!

The EyeTv app of my iphone 6s that worked with eyetv 32bit on the Mac now with eyeTv 64 bit does not work; he asks me "make sure iPhone is enabled on your Mac" but i don't know how to do it. Thanks

Seit dem Update auf die Version 14.7 wird an das iPhone und das iPad kein Ton mehr übermittelt.

Das Bild ist sichtbar, auch wenn es beim Starten bzw. Umschalten der Programme deutlich länger braucht, bis es erscheint.

Auf dem iMac (Big Sur 11.5, EyeTV 4.0.0 (8526)) funktioniert alles problemlos.

Bitte um schnelle Fehlerbehebung!

For some reason the Eyetv app on our newer iPad Pros will not show the guide beyond the current day. On an older ipad it still works. Any ideas?

Some transcoding error with iOS 13

Hi guys,

I get some errors with the transcoding in iOS 13. I have a eyetv Netstream 4sat (refresh) and updated my iPhone to iOS 13. Now the app transcode all channels in HD format correctly, but all other channels are broken. It's the same with tvOS 13.

I have downloaded the 64 bit upgrade on my Mac running OS 10.15.3. I cannot install this because after entering the correct activation code the ‘Next’ button remains greyed

can anyone direct me to get information on how to get the Guide to appear in the EyeTV iPhone App? I finally got my TV Guide back working in the last few days on my iMac, received an extension from Angela. Now I am hoping that I can see that TV guide appear in iOS for iPad or iPhone,, but can't see the guide populating there. Any tricks on how to get that working also? Both EyeTV for iPhone/ipad and Use My EyeTV are checked off in the preferences,, and a green light indicating My EyeTV is working properly

iOS 12.4.4 on iPad. I subscribed to the new tv channel guide ( eyeTVEPGPremium-US) on my Mac and I now get the daily schedule displayed on my tv. However, the daily schedule does not fill in on my iPad or iPhone. The problem started on Jan 1, 2020.

I have been using eyety3 for some time with the hybrid stick connected to my macmini with only 4gb ram.

Before spending money I'd like to know if its worth it. Will it work?

It says 4gb at the download page and 8gb at the purchase page. And the support won't answer.

Eyetv app on both ipad and iphone crashes after updating to 13.2 ! The app has become unusable ever since ! Is there a way to get it working again ?

Netstream app and 12.9 inch iPad Pro

Unfortunately, it seems that Geniatech does not use any 12.9 inch iPad Pro for testing as the GUI of the Netstream app has some weird problems (pictures included) on this specific device. On every other iPad (iPad Pro 10.5 inch and iPad Air 2 have been tried) the GUI seems to be working as expected but it remains a mystery to me why no one ever repairs this quite horrible looking bug. My efforts via the EyeTV support had no positive outcome at all [Ticket#2017112116000291] as they only asked me to reinstall the software (much work for nothing). Then they told me they could not reproduce the error. When I asked them for screenshots and if they really did this on the 12.9 inch model they never replied. Well, fascinating. How should it even be possible that the app does only show its weird behavior on my iPad Pro 12.9 inch (newest 2017 revision)?

App store offers older 'update'

The App Store has recently offered me an 'update' to version 2.1.6. I have 2.1.7 (861) which works just fine on iOS 11. The version history on the app store makes no mention of 2.1.7, showing 2.1.6 as one year old.

eyeTV and iOS - only 170 channels on Astra 19.2

Hmm... any idea why I can find only 170 channels on Astra 19.2 by this software?

I have a multiswitch with Astra and Hotbird... Autodection of those sattelits works fine... but by manual scanning I can't find all channels

And the internet list isn't working too

Any ideas for me?

Airplay not working properly iOS10

The EyeTV app for iOS has been missing an AirPlay button for several years, but iOS on my iPad would always let me select AirPlay from the control center. So, the missing selection button from the app was not a big deal.

With the recent iOS 10 release, apps that are missing the AirPlay button in the app default to AirPlay "mirroring mode", if you select AirPlay from the control center panel. There's no way to get regular AirPlay (stream in the background) if the app has no AirPlay button in the app.

That means that EyeTV can only stream through mirroring mode, preventing you from AirPlay streaming to an Apple TV in the background. This is a real problem- to use EyeTV to stream to Apple TV, you can't use your iPad simultaneously for anything else.

I'm not sure why the original developers didn't update the app to include an AirPlay button, but what was formerly an omission that had a workaround now has become a major deficiency in the app's usability. Will this app be updated to fix this?

As Title, the Program Guide is not coming up on my iPhone SE (running iOS 10 developer beta 6), however it works fine on my iPad Air (running same iOS).

The Program Guide is working as it should on my Mac (EyeTV server).
