  1. I've used Titan TV, first as just a very useful guide and then after ETV has stopped providing the guide, as my scheduling system. As for the xmltv I have just not needed it enough to implement it. Also, it has some limitations but nothing severe. My ability to customize TitanTV's guide with ONLY the channels I want to follow has been just one of my reasons for using it for well over 10 years.
  2. O have not done the "work" needed to get that guide system to work. Maybe now that I am retired I will. But, in the meantime, If you can live without the features of the different guides, try using Titan TV titantv.com . Create a free account then customize your channels and TV service. Once done, you will a red record button with each program description (you first click on a listing). when you go to your EyeTV schedules you will see the listing. You may need to either enter or correct the channel number YMMV. TitanTV.com will give you 14 days at a time so you can program that far out. Titan TV has a powerful search feature (if you click the more search options) and if there are conflicts with other programs, you can click the View Additional Airings in the listing to find other potential times.   3. This company (Geniatech) is just a bogus waste of money at this point. Most of us have been without our prepaid guide for over a year. The consensus is that they don't have the money to pay for the guide data. Too bad you did not look into the forum before spending money on this. I have (as a consulting engineer for the US's FCC) put a block on Geniatech's ability to market their pending ATSC3 set top convertor box. They have never responded to ANY OWNER's issues in over 18 months.
  4. I think I know where all the money is going. I just saw at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas that Geniatech is one of the many companies developing set top convertor boxes for ATSC-3 now being called Next Gen TV. I intend to contact the people I used to work with at both the FCC and FTC. I am a consulting engineer with a law degree. I may be able to show they do not deserve certification (required to sell these devices) since they have basically done a one sided cancellation of their "contract" to supply existing users with the pre-paid service(s) ie. the guide.

  6. Hello liars who run Geniatech. I truly hope you have come up with something in the past few months to lie about. It's painfully obvious that they have and continue to lie about some bullshit with the "server". They are bankrupt and can not pay the providers of the guides. They played the same bullshit last year and a few times prior. One day, I suspect their website will simply disappear and that will be that. I've posted that in other places hoping that someone from their management will contact me to prove me wrong.

  8. I see they pulled my lying scumbags message. That's good I guess since it means someone is still there. They are still lying scumbags since they could have had a baby, waited for it to grow up and then have that kid fix the server issue by now. That's of course if there was a server issue. They can not pay their bills to the guide providers so they can provide the guides to us. I suspect that the reason we don't get any honest statements from them is they hired DJ tRump as their spokesperson.
  9. I wonder when the LIERS at Genitech will stop lying at tell us what is really going on. This is time for a class action lawsuit. There is no technical issue, this I am assure of. As am electronics designer with a solid computer background (and an MSEE) I could have walked to the server in China or wherever it is, fixed it and walked back to Los Angeles in the time they have been lying about a "server issue". I can only think that they are using the Donald Trump school of business. Lie enough until they believe there own BS. I dare them to come clean. I suspect they can not afford to pay TV guide (and maybe others) so they continue to lie about the real cause. No one on this forum believes you anymore. If they remove this post I will continue to post it every day until I die !

  11. Hello Geniatech, The major networks begin their new fall season in less than 6 days... IT WOULD BE SO NICE TO KNOW THAT YOUR ENGINEERS HAVE SOLVE THE "PROBLEM" (Or the office finally scraped together enough cash to pay your vendors like TV Guide). IT'S BEEN ONE MONTH SINCE I REPORTED IT AND NEARLY 7 WEEKS WITH NO USE OF THE PROGRAM GUIDE. There is no such thing as a server problem that takes this long to fix. STOP LYING ABOUT IT.

  14. It looks like someone at Geniatech does not like my negative comments as my acerbic comments here yesterday are gone today. Maybe their government is monitoring this forum. If you have the time to do that, then you have the time to f'in fix the site. Class action lawsuit would be appropriate if only you had even one employee in the US. You should have never purchased this company if you did not know how to make it work.
  15. When are they going to use the excuse of "It's a supply chain issue" Or they were shut down by the Chinese authorities after one person in another province had covid last year. This is just BS. How long does it take to correct a server error. I've got a masters of electrical engineering degree with a strong computer science background and know my way around IT/Networking / server design and maintenance. Pay my way (first class airfare) and I'll get it back up for them. They used the same lame excuse (BS) when they had the last major outage lasting months. I suspect they can't pay their bills to whomever hosts the server, or the fees to TV Guide. I keep posting like this so maybe they respond. One can hope.

To quote a US politician It could be a 400 pound person sitting on their bed in their pajamas. OK Really, Geniatech, SPEAK UP Let us know what's going on, Every day, you loose current clients and make it impossible for you to find new suckers. Yeah, I am pissed.

  18. I've found that communication with the Chinese owners to be a bit lacking. And, by a bit, I mean they are absolutely useless. During their major outage a couple of years ago, it took months of only getting the same response from "Angela Xu" who appears to no longer be there. For at least 6 weeks the response is our engineers are doing some final testing... I have a solution, fire them and hire a team that knows what they are doing. Maybe this is how the Chinese government deals with Spkr Pelosi's trip to Taiwan. If they don't deal with this soon, the will lose even more users. Elgato really screwed all of us when they sold EyeTV to Geniatech. Hey Geniatech get your damn act together and tell us what is happening. Better still, fix it. Did you fail to pay TV Guide and they shut you down again*? * just a guess. The support ticket system is a joke. If they can not determine if there is a MAJOR system failure, a ticket submission is not going to help. I am so sick of this companies lack of incentive to keep their system working. In the 10+ years with Elgato this type of outage just did not happen. Once in a great while they had an issue that was solved in hours. Now this is the forth time Geniatech has screwed us.

  21. I don't know exactly when this occurred but as of now I have no program guide AGAIN. This is the newer 7530 build. Anyone else having this issue? This is getting ridiculous. How difficult is it to not screw with something that is working.
