  1. New (in update notes now compatible with Ventura) version of EyeTV 4 is now being offered when EyeTV checks for software updates. This is latest but one version of EyeTV 4 running on latest version of Monterey though. Software update started to pop-up as of Monday 31st October on my iMac.
  2. I have a genuine copy of EyeTV 4 installed on my iMac and are yet to upgrade to Ventura from Monterey. I was already under the impression that the latest version (that I have installed) was NOT compatible with Ventura and then on Mon (31st Oct) whilst EyeTV was open I had a pop-up with new software version ava for download. In the notes it says compatible with Ventura I would suggest this the best and safest way to upgrade to the latest version which isn't currently ava on the EyeTV website for download at present. Obviously you already need to have a stable version on EyeTV installed in Monterey before you get offered this, So won't be of any use to anyone already on Ventura.
  3. So we all know that the service has been unavailable since 10th Aug and even though I logged a ticket with EyeTV support back on 10th August I never received a reply. A few days ago I decided to try and log another support call and this time I have has a reply: From: Geniatech - EyeTV Old Products Support <eyetv-oldproducts-support@eu-geniatech.com> Hello, Very sorry for the inconvenience to you. We are working on the server error of EPG, it will be fixed soon. I will send you feedback once we have a solution. We will extend the time of your EPG validity period for the outage period. Our engineer is really trying to solve it. Our engineer may need some time. Best Regards, Notice that the email address this came from is eyetv-oldproducts-support@eu-geniatech.com!! Not sounding good for both the EyeTV 4 (latest version of the app, so not sure why I'm getting an email from oldproductsupport) and the EPG service. My sub to EPG is due in Jan 2023...I'm not going to hold my breath as to it being fixed by then!

  6. This has always been the same when previous versions of Mac OS have been released. Once burnt I no longer upgrade the the latest OS version.
  7. Here in the UK I have changed all channels to use the DVB EPG and have successfully updated all channels. Not sure if this option works worldwide though. We should all be given credit for the Gracenote EPG once they get it working again, seeing as its a paid for service! Truly terrible customer service!
  8. Here in the UK I have swapped all channel to use the DVB EPG and am getting program guide updates. As I've said before I hope that we all get credited for the time the service has been down seeing as its a paid for service.
  9. Stuart, Yeah...looks to have been not updating since around the 2/3rd Aug. I've logged a support ticket, but after finding this forum 15mins ago I realised that its a worldwide issue. Lets hope they can be bothered to fix it....I won't hold my breath as since the company was bought both development/bugs and support get worse each year. Shame as its a decent product for those that just want to access Freeview from their Mac rather than having to also own a TV/Sky sub etc.
  10. I noticed this here in the UK on Monday evening...however it was happening prior to then. Only just happened upon this forum. I too have logged a support ticket via the website, but as yet have had no response, even to say that they have my ticket and are aware! Since it was sold a few years ago both development and support just get more worse. Shame really as a USB dongle plugged into the back of my Mac works well for Freeview TV in the UK, which is all I want. I suppose all we can do is sit and wait for it to be fixed. I hope someone at the company keeps up on these threads as it would be nice to think that we will all be credited for the number of days the service is down seeing as its a paid for service that expires yearly! You can hope, I guess. I suppose the dev team (most probably one person) is on hols currently 😜 If anyone spots it working again, please notify this thread. Cheers.
