Similar to the "export to iPhone" option, I would like to suggest, that you develop an "Export to Network Drive" option. I'm on the brink to exchange EyeTV with something else, as your solution has not been updated for years and EyeTV is still not available to Apple TV. I don't use my Mac mini on a daily basis anymore. What I would like, is for my EyeTV to export selected recordings to my NAS, where I can play them on my Apple TV. I believe that it would be quite simple to add this option to EyeTV. In the settings, it would be possible to set the credentials for the network drive (NAS). EyeTV will connect, if the network drive is not connected. The recording will get exported in an Apple TV friendly format and moved to the NAS. And if the user wants it, the original recording will get deleted, once the export has finished. The end user, me and other customers, will then be able to watch on our favourite app(s). Since EyeTV for Apple TV is extremely delayed.

The Netstream only supports Free-to-Air channels - so that product is not a solution for me

I would suggest that you add an option to add a secondary location for recordings, i.e. an external hard drive or network storage. I imagine that the user will add the secondary location through "Settings > Recordings". Just like selecting the location for the "EyeTV Archive", the user will select the secondary location for "Archived recordings". To move a recording to the secondary location, the user will simply tick a box, just like "iPhone" exports. Tick to move and remove the tick, to move the recording back to the main drive. To free up space, it may also be possible to select when to auto-move recordings. I imagine that it would be possible to select "Days" and "Hours". If the user wants to move the recording fast, the user can select "0 days" and "1 hour". Most users would probably select "1 day" and "0 hours". When a recording is moved, it will automatically get ticked to show, that it's now on the secondary location. I'm aware that I can just select an external drive as my primary drive for EyeTV recordings. I've tried this solution and it has failed on me, as the drive was not available and recordings ended up on a non-existing volumen. EyeTV should check that the volumen is available before moving a recording.

I own a OctopusNet C2/T2 device, because I have subscription channels (unfortunately your device do not support pay TV). EyeTV 3 can scan for DVB-T channels, but not for DVB-C or DVB-T2 channels. When do you plan to add support for DVB-C and DVB-T2? Most other software I've tested with, works with both standards.

I use SAT>IP Viewer for Mac - not really great software at all, but it works. I mostly use the software to record the ts-stream and then play using VLC on my Apple TV. For live tv on my Apple TV I use the official app from SAT>IP. That app does not have any features, but it plays live TV nicely.

I have subscription channels on my cable and have been using the EyeTV 610 for many years. It still works great - but I've now moved my program card to my Octopus Net device, so that I can get my channels on all devices. Unfortunately EyeTV don't support DVB-C tuning on the Octopus Net and this has forced me to use other software on my Mac mini, when I want to record on pay-channels. I really hope that you would add support for SAT>IP Cable, DVB-C. I really don't want to leave you, but I may be forced to re-think and find someone else to dance with ;(

I have been waiting a long time for an update to EyeTV 610 and a few month ago, I stopped waiting and bought an Octopus Net from Digital Devices. I knew that it would not work with EyeTV for Mac and I'm fine with that fact, I mostly want to use the Octopus Net with my Apple TV. I still record using my old EyeTV 610 on my Mac mini. What I want from an Apple TV app, is the ability to stream the recordings - without transcoding. It's possible to stream RTSP and SAT>IP to Apple TV, I need to be able to record and control my recordings through Apple TV. I would also suggest, that it becomes possible to stream live TV directly from the Mac to Apple TV. But if the user already owns a network-tuner, then it should be possible to use the network-tuner with Apple TV - even when the Mac is not turned on. And this should include network-tuners that are not supported by EyeTV for Mac. In addition, I would also suggest that you create an API on EyeTV for Mac, where it would be possible for other developers to pick up recordings. I believe that it’s important that you open up for developers, so that anyone can build on top of your great software. This could be anyone from the TV networks, who may want to pick up a recording instead of streaming or someone who gets a great idea for an app. I want my Mac mini to act more like a server and less like a HTPC. It’s just easier to use the interface on Apple TV
