  1. You are very welcome! Sounds like it has worked for almost everyone. Glad to be of assistance.
  2. Thanks, Paul! Glad it now works for you 🙂
  3. That is disappointing, Hamburger, but it is working for several others here. Perhaps use EyeTV Reporter (downloadable from the Geniatech website) to delete your installation and preferences and start from scratch?
  4. And you have Ventura on both your M1 and Intel machines?
  5. Perhaps try retuning the app? Um, sorry to hear that. Several other members have had great success with the newest version.
  6. Glad it is working out now for you. Yes, it would be preferable to download directly from the Geniatech website, however Mega links are fine if you trust the uploader. In this case, the link came straight from Geniatech itself.
  7. Hi Roland, Did you try the app from the MEGA link? I assure you it is perfectly safe, it came from the Geniatech team itself. It will sort out all your problems. Several forum members have since confirmed that they have used it and it works.
  8. It's a very good question! I've asked them but they haven't replied to me yet.
  9. Soooo sorry Bobby, you didn't manipulate anything! I thought I was replying to GBO! He did a weird thing where he made it look like he shared that Mega link from Geniatech before I shared it... Not sure why he did that. Maybe just to make himself look good. Doesn't help that I am tired and need to go to bed.
  10. Great news, Ross! I would be rather embarrassed if that version only worked for me!
  11. You manipulated a quote from a post that didn't mention any link. The quote linked back to a different post. Anyway, I don't care really. If it helps people get the version that is compatible with Ventura and which doesn't need any playing around in Terminal, then I'm happy! As to my post above, addressed to Roland, I've checked and the last time I helped people was with comms around the much-delayed 64-bit version of eyeTV that we were absolutely desperate to have so we could upgrade our OSs. No doubt I'll be back next year when Apple releases their next OS, sticking my nose in 😀
  12. Hi Roland. Completely understand. I don't really have a way to confirm that I'm not some kind of hacker 😀 I got the link from Geniatech today after I emailed them. Here's a screenshot of part of an email chain I have with the guys at Geniatech (see attached). Your scepticism is reasonable because you don't know me whatsoever, but I think you may be able to see my posts from a year or two ago where we had a similar issue with a previous OS upgrade (I forget which). I tried to help then as well. Just trying to be helpful now because I know how very annoying it is for EyeTV not to work on Mac because we have hardly any other options for live TV on our systems. I appreciate all the guys on here who have helped with the frameworks and Terminal commands, but I just couldn't get those to work so I just went straight to Geniatech instead and thank goodness it's all now resolved. As to why this exact version is not the one on the Geniatech website itself, I have asked them about this but they haven't replied, so at the moment I have no idea. All I know is, it works perfectly. Please note, I also used EyeTV Reporter (downloadable from Geniatech site) to delete my installation first and all my preferences before installing the version from the Mega link. I don't know if that is necessary or not, but I wanted a clean start, and when I installed the new version, not only did it stop the crashing on Ventura but I can now watch HD channels without the weird stuttering that forced me to watch SD-only channels for the last two years!! I'm not sure if that is because of the new version or because I deleted my preferences and started again. So, all in all, a good day's fixing! Hope it resolves your issues, too.
  13. Why are you continuing with this?? 😐 Geniatech have RESOLVED the Ventura issues. Just download the version from the Mega link that they sent me, as I posted above. You will save yourself a great deal of stress 😛
  14. Nice try. You have actually rewritten a quote from your own post in order to make it look like you shared that link over 5 hours before me. The egoism! 😂
  15. No, if that does not work, read my post above! There is a new copy of version of 8528 that now works on Ventura.
  16. PROBLEM SOLVED - PLEASE READ OK people, problem solved. Geniatech supplied me with an updated version, which now works perfectly on my Mac Studio M1 Max with Venture 13.0. Yes, I know it is marked version 8528 but I presume it must be an updated copy of that version or something. The 8528 version from the website didn't work for me, but the 8528 version via the Mega link worked perfectly. Here is the link: https://mega.nz/file/UCUGGYTY#KV9bRIaB7hS8xiEO-JiqTH1ORMKt1kHpEUO1XdIiPmw Thank you so much to Geniatech for resolving my ticket so quickly!

  18. I've created a ticket with their support team and will keep everyone up to date with what I'm told.
  19. Hi guys I'm very carefully following the instructions but I keep getting "can't open input file" in respect of the shell file, despite it being in my Downloads folder. Any ideas? I'm not a big Terminal person 😐
  20. Latest news 30th August 2019 Geniatech has confirmed that it is working on the 64-bit version of EyeTV. So do not panic! There is currently no release date, but it is being worked on. So no need to abandon EyeTV. Here is a screenshot of the 64-bit version of EyeTV for Mac, which is in development.
  21. Hi. I really hope some bright spark can assist me with a strange problem. I have EyeTV with a Sat box running on my Retina iMac, and with both of my bluetooth audio products I cannot get consistent audio from the EyeTV player. Also, when I am connected to a Bluetooth audio device, the EyeTV player picture breaks up and hangs, there is a burst of audio from the software, and then it freezes again. However, I can get audio to the bluetooth products via all other apps, such as when I play a YouTube video on Safari, so I don't think there is anything wrong with the Bluetooth devices themselves. I am completely out of ideas on this and hope someone can suggest a way forward. Many thanks.
