Question: How do I receive 4 Channels from eyetv Netstream 4sat on my Mac. Please get the latest eyetv 3 Version 3.6.9 (7514), downloaded and installed https://www.geniatech.eu/eyetv/software/, – again this version is mandatory, we tested with MacOS Sierra EyeTV software version 3.6.9 and above, as a standard can use two (2) of the EyeTV Netstream 4Sat tuners by default. The other two are reserved for mobile use. However, you can try a special command in the Terminal, which is a currently experimental (unsupported) way to use four tuners all at once on your Mac. 1) Quit EyeTV 2) Open the Terminal application, from the Applications/Utilities folder 3) Enter this command into the Terminal defaults write com.elgato.eyetv "max SAT2IP tuners" -int 4 4) Press Return 5) Quit the Terminal 6) Launch EyeTV again. This assumes that you have the appropriate LNB that has the capacity to receive 4 channels at once. Using 4 tuners at once will significantly increase the amount of network bandwidth in use, and will require more processing power. Performance may be hindered depending on your computer and network speed. You may not be able to receive 4 simultaneous HD channels via typical wireless networks. However, you can try a special command in the Terminal, which is a currently experimental (unsupported) way to use four tuners all at once on your Mac. Since this is an experimental and unsupported feature, we welcome feedback, but cannot yet guarantee that the experience will be 100% stable. Multituner Setup Please note that the number of channels which can be watched or recorded simultaneously of course also depends on the satellite configuration: DiSEqC: Output of a Single LNB connected to port 1 of EyeTV Netstream 4Sat -> 1 channel Both outputs of a Twin LNB connected to port 1 and 2 of EyeTV Netstream 4Sat -> 2 channels All four outputs of a Quad orQuattro LNB connected to port 1 – 4 of EyeTV Netstream 4Sat -> 4 channels DiSEqC has to be configured correctly in the EyeTV Netstream app settings. Unicable: One Unicable output is connected to port 1 of EyeTV Netstream 4Sat -> 1 – 4 channels depending on the number of available User Bands. The User Bands have to be configured correctly in the EyeTV Netstreamapp settings.

HI Ton, thanks for be so active, we never say that there will be Netstream 4Sat with double CI slot, CI Slot just old fashioned technology, modern DRM Systems are requested / required and Netstream 4T was showed and demo during IFA 2016 and CES 2017, will be released before switch off of DVB-T in Germany (end march 2017), as it does not makes sense before as it only support DVB-T2 H.264 + H.265.

great + valid feedback, thanks for this, seems you really a advanced professional. we might not share the same point of view on some part, but take your challenges serious, we still see the performance issue by encoding / transcoding / and client decoding (play) of H.264 / H.265 channels in real time, and we need to disagree that netstream 4c can not get used of 4 tuners and we do real time hardware transcoding (which the other devices not support at all - you know the advantages, right? and concept wise we see / believe in use case scenarios where mobile as well stationary devices have mixed access to the netstream 4c design, e.g. you can have always 4 different clients e.g. iPhone + iPad, Android Device, Mac or PC connected, alternativ activate 2 tuners on Mac and PC, but last part you want to extend to 4 Tuner Access, which we think is not the normal use case, right? what you think about add Multicast feature, instead of only Unicast? what you think about Clustering n+1 tuner/netstream? again, we take your feedback serious and keep looking into to manage your inquiry. and sure we have to all this good products access in house and we see values how good they are working, honestly this field is not that green as you share it, your are a advanced professional, know how to deal with certain kind challenges, where might some normal user user need your help to come to such level, Anyway we take this serious - great feedback. let us work on this and keep on going the discussion.

Latest results we experience some improvements in the latest beta build of macOS Sierra for systems who run into such situations. We keep on improving. This fixes the issue on older Macs / OSX Version to renew and get used of TV Guide data correctly, mainly you run into this Error message Click Update -> Error Message "Could Not Connect To Server". For older Mac`s with older OSX – we develop a fix and release new build, please see below you must perform both necessary steps. Main reason why it has not updating are security reason as older Mac/ OSX can not verify / recognize correct our server certificate automatically (newer OSX version does this correct and auto). Product: EyeTV 3 with TV Guide Fix For Mac os x 10.7.5 or lower fix (TV Guide and Error cannot connect to Server): 1st Step: Please upgrade EyeTV to the latest version (7416 or above). Make sure your EyeTV software is updated to the latest version (EyeTV 3.6.9 or later is required). The in app updater will discover this version, so you will need to manually install this update.
