  1. Hi all Just started up EyeTV and was surprised to see another update - Ver 8532 I'm mostly using PLEX with my Diversity dongle these days so am feeling less and less interest in EYETV. Just thought I'd mention the update here. All appears working OK. All the best
  2. Hi Cluttered. I get all updates so please don’t feel you’re on your own here. Natasharpj, all the best.
  3. Ok.....I now see what I've done. My apologies everyone I have two Mac Minis that I was updating today. The one on my desk I updated to Ventura (it's a newer Mac mini) and the one that I have EYETV on (older Mac mini) I also upgraded but only to 12.6.1. I assumed both Mac Minis were on the same version of OSX and that's not the case. For some reason, I've never had EYETV updater notify me about 8528 and when that happened today, I thought it was a new EYETV update for a new version of OSX. Again, sorry. My mistake
  4. Hmmm....this is really strange. Everything you folks (Cluttered / Roland B) are saying rings true about 8528 except for one really weird thing. When I finished upgrading to OSX Monterey, I started EYETV and the ETETV updater appeared and notified me that the available update (8528) was supposed to fix compatibilty issues with Monterey. That's what made me think the EYETV update was new. How does all this work?? I don't doubt for a second what you guys are saying about 8528 being a 2021 release but I'm 100% positive about what I read in the update notification.
  5. I updated to OSX 12.6.1 Monterey just now and, when starting up some apps (including EYETV), my jaw dropped!! EYETV Version 8528 update announced itself. I've installed it with no issues noticed so far - fingers crossed.
  6. Hi Cluttered / Roland, Have read this post and your exchanges a couple of times with much interest - lots of nodding going on here as I read familiar points you're both making! EyeTV4 is very frustrating software. If it wasn't for the fact that Geniatech charged us so much to "upgrade" to the 64 bit version (over $40 in Australia), I probably would've abandoned it ages ago. As it is, my son is trying other means to get me to move on. Basically, the hardware (I use a diversity tuner) is fine and works with other software (eg Plex) but the result is something that takes much getting used to. I too would be happy with a 64 bit version of EyeTV 3 - it wasn't perfect but it worked. Quick question - I'm using Diversity on an intel Mac mini with OS 12.1. EyeTV version is 4 (8526). Is it worth updating to 8527? I'm hesitant after reading all you folks have been saying. Many thanks for all you're writing on here!
  7. Lots of things either not working or not working well with Big Sur (stuttering video on HD content, come on!...) The bugs on Big Sur all still around with Monterey but worse still this crashes when I close an active window. I actually want to use this on a second Mac but, after paying for and installing a licence, I won't buy a second. Sorry, but this version is an insult at this price. Geniatech, please, please upgrade this? Such a shame
  8. I have variations of the same thing. Where are the regular bug fix updates? I could write a list of all my bugs using this software
  9. Hey - I thought I was dreaming. Just spent half an hour trying to turn on my second tuner and couldn't see the functionality in preferences. What happened to my second tuner?? This is very buggy software - I could write a list of issues. Updates please?
