  1. Please don't wait for them! They have been horrible stewards of their product.
  2. I urge everyone to cut the cord with them and follow the instructions for downloading your own listings data from a subscription service that is cheaper than Genia Techs!! Links can be re-posted if needed but they have already been posted above by others. I tried them, they work! And I am not going back
  3. UPDATE : Deleting the unused channels not just unchecking them, resolved the issue. BIG thanks to WisconsinEric for publishing the guide and all those who contributed to it. I know have my TV listings and it costs me $20 a year, less then TV Guide and I can control it without relying on GeniaTech. I suppose I should ask for my credit now since they seem to not care at all about fixing the problem.
  4. I tried to use the guide but when I downloaded the xml data and confirmed the channel lists were identical I only got 1 channel to show up in the guide out of 79. Any thoughts? Should I not try and modify the channel list? i did notice the website and Eye TV had different lists of channels for my cable provider. So i ended up modifying the xmltv to what i wanted and then the EyeTV list to remove extras and line up to the xmltv source. Did not appear to work however. Also under the guide on step 0.2.3 third step it references saving as a NEW channel lineup but i am unclear how to do that. Looked at both EyeTV3 and EyeTV4 interfaces and could not figure that bit out.
  5. Looks like we will need to resurrect the scripts to import the XMLTV listings like we did a couple of years ago. It did work, but had to manually import every couple of days
  6. I used this as well and it worked! Great for those of us that have both versions. Do NOT want to use version 4 for anything until I migrate to a 64 bit MacOS which I am still resisting since EyeTV4 is so bad. Just need to use EyeTV4 to refresh my guide once a week until version 3 gets an update, which will likely take months
  7. Thanks for the update!! I was wondering why the pull using my SchedulesDirect subscription (6 bucks down the drain :-)) was not working. I did however have success using my EyeTV4 software to update the guide, now that is update, close it, then start EyeTV3 to use with a now fully loaded Guide. Downside i have do this 1/day or 1/week. Upside my guide transfers between the two applications. EyeTV 4 is a disaster and I do not want to rely on it. And I am staying with MacOS Mojave until I absolutely have to make the switch to 64 bit MacOS.
  8. I am trying to use my old script from the last time the guide went out, using SchedulesDirect and an Automator Script to load the new xmltv data into EyeTV 3 but it does not seem to be working. Has anyone reverted to using that old method? Is it working?
  9. The reply i got from Angela today on the topic reads as follows Sorry for the inconvenience. It is caused by the server. This issue is solved on eyetv 4 but it will take a week to solve it on eyetv 3.We will inform you when it is fixed. Kind regards, Angela Geniatech EyeTV Support Team

  11. "angela" replied after a week and I did get a code. Why I had to ask for it, and why I had to wait a week? no one will ever know..... the software is definitely worse than EyeTV3 no question. It is not ABSOLUTELY horrible, just horrible. The audio won;t play in live TV windows and the channel changing is suspect at best. I am running the old version for now and holding off on the Catalina upgrade which I do not have to have at this time...
  12. well took a week but a help request through the web site finally got a response with a valid key. Somewhat odd that you don't get it automatically with the purchase. Customer service could use some help there.
  13. I have purchased the EyeTV4 software because I want to update my Mac to Catalina. However, like others when I bought the software no activation key was provided and no one is responding to my request. I sent in a note through the web site and even reached out via Facebook. Do I have to beg for an activation key? It should have come via email after I paid right? I do have the email invoices, does anyone have any advice?
