More detailed information about Netstream 4c

Recommended Posts

Hi

I find the Netstream 4C a very interesting alternative to the HDHomerun products, especially with implemented hardware transcoding. However I seek more information on the transcoding capabilities and how to access and configure the streams from the Netstream

Is interfacing to the Netstream 4C done by standardized SAT > IP protocol and/or is something propritary put on top?

Which formats can the Netstream transcode to? Different bitrates?

If several formats/bitrates can be supplied. When requesting a stream, (how) can I request a certain format/bitrates

Seeking all documentation regarding this.

Beware. I've had one for almost 30 days. Never was able to use more than 2 out of 4 decoders. Mail with Geniatech did not bring any solution. Also, it will not work with widespread software like DVBlink and TVHeadend.

So it's a waste of money.

Yes, I agree.  There is no "Support" and the Software "runs" as a pig with one leg.  They are not able to even respond on basically install-problems as msvcr90.dll in setup of "Home Cinema".....
