Wakeup messages in overpowering abundance

Can anyone offer a solution to this apparent issue where EyeTV sends an enormous numbers of wakeup 'messages' to the MacOSX operating system?

On looking at the MacOSX Console logs there are lots of these reports and I wonder if these are what is causing my mac to be continuously waking up?

Either way I do wonder why the EyeTV would be doing this?
