EyeTV 3 (7520) locks up on exit, HVR-950Q doesn't work

Recommended Posts

I've not been able to run EyeTV for some time now (years) and decided to try it again today.  I've upgraded EyeTv to 7520 and am on El Capitan 10.11.6

EyeTV starts fine when I connect the HVR-950Q , or by double clicking on it.

In EyeTV Preferences, EyeTV properly recognizes my Haulage HVR-950Q.  However I can not get it ti auto-tune any channels, or to manually accept any channels.  It shows 0 signal strength.

On my Linux system, the HVR-950Q/antenna setup works fine and I get 3 channels. So I know the stick is good, and the antenna placement is good 'cause I get 3 channels, it just won't work under EyeTV on MacOS

Then EyeTV locks up when I select File and Quit, never exiting. I have to Force Quit EyeTV

Any suggestions ?  I  tried EyeTV reporter and uninstalled and re-installed EyeTV

thanks

Steve

Isn't that always the way ?

I looked at this for quite some time before posting, and as soon as I posted I found this statement on Geniatech site stating that my version o f950 isn't supported.

https://www.geniatech.eu/eyetv/faq/eyetv-3-software-does-not-support-current-wintv-hvr-950q/

BTW, EyeTV starts and stops fine without the 950 connected.

Thanks for looking at the post.
