Schedules Direct JSON and XMLTV Python API for EyeTV EPG Data

Because of the months-long issue updating EyeTV's EPG data, I've begun to pursue alternate methods of maintaining a working HTPC on macOS.

I wrote a Python API for calling the Schedules Direct JSON API that creates an XMLTV EPG file for EyeTV.

I've used modern lxml libraries and observe that they're fast and efficient. Additionally, this code in Open Source, and provides several benefits over other available solutions posted elsewhere.

This solves EyeTV EPG update problem for me, and I hope that Geniatech fixes the TV Guide problem soon, and updates EyeTV to 64-bit prior to the next macOS release this summer.
