jpmist27 3 Report post Posted May 6, 2019 I use an EyeTV HD and have a IR blaster going from it to the DirecTV cable box to change channels. There was a time when it was 100% reliable but now at least once or twice a weeks it fails to enter all three channel numbers- (usually missing the first one or two) and I get a nice recording of something I don't want. The IR blaster is taped to the front of the box where the IR sensor is and is out of direct light. I know there's a way to adjust the timing of the signals in the Setup Assistant, I just don't know what parameters to adjust. It seems lately that generally, it takes longer to change channels for some reason. MacOS 10.10.5, EyeTV 3.6.9 (7416) Anybody else have this issue and solved it? Thanks. I use a couple EyeTV HD's and I have had that problem for years. Mine will sometimes only complete the first 2 of three numbers in the channel number. I have tried changing the timing of the of the numbers in setup, tried resetting up, tried all manner of things with the ir blasters, even bought other EyeTV HD's from eBay. It still fails sometimes, randomly. One thing I do is set the channel in advance for recording, then if it fails it is on the correct channel. Only thing that helps is to reboot the HD box, but that is of course, temporary. I run EyeTV 3.6.9 (7420).

Thanks EyeMiss, I'm setting the channel in advance as well for shows I don't wanna miss, but often I'll have a few shows due to record overnight on different channels. At least it's good to know it's not just me. I have a backup HD box, maybe I'll see how that one does. . .
