Sveto 0 Report post Posted April 20 It seems to be related to the code signing. I used an older Tip from this forum an ran as an admin in Terminal the following command to delete the code-signature: codesign --remove-signature /Applications/EyeTV.app/Contents/MacOS/EyeTV After starting EyeTV you have to grant access to files again. EyeTV 4 has been working as usual for me since then.

Charles B 0 Report post Posted April 24 EyeTV 4.0.0 (8532) now crashes on launch after updating to MacOS 15.4.1. DO NOT UPDATE TO MacOS 15.4.1 until this issue is resolved. Removing the EyeTV app using EyeTV Reporter and re-installing the app does not resolve the problem. All Privacy & Security settings match the setting required on Geniatech's Support web page. Melbace 0 Report post Posted April 24 I2had this issue after updating to 15.4.1. Was working fine prior to that. MacMini M2, EyeTV4 (8532) and Geniatech EyeTV2 Hybrid in Australia. App would crash when trying to open any HD channels. The Sentinel /self-signing "fix' worked for me also. Google "Sentinel Macupdate" and downloaded/installed. Dragged EyeTV app in finder onto the right-side box in Sentinel (Sign app with Ad-Hoc) Relaunched Eye TV and now works. Thank you all so much.

Phil P 0 Report post Posted April 25 EyeTV 4.0.0 (8532) has been working for me under MacOS 15.3. I upgraded to MacOS 15.4.1 and now EyeTV is inoperative. Usually, EyeTV will hang (not responding) with "One moment please..." in the video window and need a force quit. Sometimes, it gets past that, but there's no video regardless of being live or an existing recording. Just a "No Signal" message. If it won't play recordings, it isn't a signal input problem. No response from Geniatech Support yet.

Every time I launch EyeTV (even before this particular problem was encountered), I get a pop-up saying "EyeConnect Update Required". As I recall, that pop-up started after the upgrade from EyeTV 3 to version 4.
Kostas Tournas 0 Report post Posted April 25 Download "sentinel" from MacUpdate and drop EyeTV 4 to the left (once or twice) until it opens it up..... Thanx to friends above for the TV saver note....IT WORKS FINE....
Ernst 2 Report post Posted April 27 The Sentinel-fix worked for me as well. Thank you so much for the help AGB! Geniatech Support did not respond. Problem: Since I've updated my MacMini to macOS 15.4, EyeTV4 no longer works. As soon as LiveTV is started the app seems to crash / freeze and I can only "force quit". Using "EyeTV reporter", I've re-installed EyeTV and deleted all preferences, but it has not solved the problem. Specs: Mac mini M1, 2020 16 GB memory macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 EyeTV 4.0.0 (8532) EyeTV Hybrid Model EU 2008 Firmware 1.00 Solution: Search for "Sentinel Macupdate" ( https://sentinel.macupdate.com ) Download Sentinel and drag it to "Apps" Open Sentinel and drag the "EyeTV" app to the right side "Sign app with: Ad-Hoc" Problem solved 🙂 (more info: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/macos-15-1-completely-removes-ability-to-launch-unsigned-applications.2441792/)

LachNed 2 Report post Posted May 9 Hello, I got in contact with Apple Feedback Assistant in March and thought that I would never get a reply on that... But yesterday I got a message back from Apple Feedback that the newest Update of Sequoia would solve these crashes on HD channels... ... I startet a new channel search in EyeTV.... and... surprise 😮 all channels work again... Hope that this state keeps over the next updates as well Here the feedback from Apple "Das neueste Update enthält Änderungen, mit denen dieses Problem möglicherweise behoben wurde. Tritt das Problem nach dem Aktualisieren auf das neueste Update noch immer auf? Falls ja, verwende bitte den Feedback-Assistenten, um uns mitzuteilen, dass das Problem nicht behoben ist." ATSC-user 4 Report post Posted May 17 EyeTV 4.0.0 (8532) works fine on my Mac Mini M2 Pro (16 GB RAM) running MacOS 15.4.1 with an EyeTV Hybrid USB stick (ATSC, not DVB-T). Also runs fine on my MacBook Pro M3 (16GB RAM) running MacOS 15.4.1. (I did not need to use Sentinal.) No problems viewing, recording, editing, or playback. No crashes. Nota Bene: Years ago, I did a clean installation of EyeTV 4.0.0 (not a beta, deleted the EyeTV 3.x preferences, and so forth).
