Taipan 1 Report post Posted December 22, 2024 EyeTV crashes when opening recording preferences Hi! I had an HD crash and had to replace the external drive that contained the EyeTV archive. I gave the new drive the same name that the old one had, but EyeTV created a new one in ~/documents and used that one. So I tried to re-select the correct drive in preferences, but as soon as I click on the "recording" tab in preferences, EyeTV crashes. I haven't done that in a long time, so it might be since upgrading to Sequoia recently. I now solved it by making the folder in documents an Alias to the new drive, but I'm afraid I might have to get access to the preferences sooner or later for whatever reason. So a solution would be nice. A strange thing that struck me: The path shown in the preferences file ~/library/preferences/com.elgato.eyetv.plist is actually the correct path to the external drive, even though EyeTV obviously uses ~/documents.
