  1. In my humble opinion there should've been a class action lawsuit over the failure to deliver (or reinstate) the EPG services that were bought and paid for.
The only thing I don't know is how many Geniatech customers were burned. Considering their global reach it must be thousands. At least.
I realize we have mostly all given up at this point... but that's exactly what they want us to do.
It just irks me that they got away with it on a corporate level. A gigantic "eff-you" to people who sent them money... their clients.

    Elgato, we miss you.

After the EPG failure in February 2019, the beta of EyeTV 3 to fix the problem was released in June 2019. At the time I had to ask to download the beta to test it and get some semblance of normality in the EPG feed.

The final (EyeTV 3.6.9 (7528)) was released in July 2019. July 5, 2019 to be exact--look at the app creation date.

I too went through that long EPG failure, and now I'm kicking myself for not researching alternative guide options.

The problem is, I'm in Canada, and I fear we have even fewer options here. Part of that might be because I use a Mac computer.

I also wonder... does Geniatech even still sell hardware for the North American market? Or are we just hanging onto our old Elgato hardware and hoping for a little more use?

And again, I'm speaking mostly from a Canadian perspective, and a Mac perspective, where the alternatives seem few. Sadly.

I've been running a debug version of EyeTV 3.6.9 (7524) since long, hoping that I could provide enough debug-data for Geniatech to fix the problems I have with it. Today I was going to install the macOS 10.15 beta but when the installer 'told me' I would no longer be able to run EyeTV I cancelled the installation. I am now wondering: How do I continue?

We have to hope that EyeTV is updated to a 64bit app for use under Catalina and beyond. Mojave was the last MacOS to support 32bit apps like the current EyeTV app.

You can check under System Report/Software/Applications to see how many 32bit apps you have that won't run under Catalina. I have a ton of them.

I don't how it works for you. It does not work for me or AndrewB. And who knows who else?

As per the thread title... I have an EyeTV HD, and I am using 3.6.9(7522) without problem. What else can I say?

I realize it breaks compatibility with the HDHomerun, but that's a totally different product than my EyeTV HD device.
