    I'm wildly speculating that the person responsible for this was on holiday for the past two weeks!

    It was enough of a scare to make my weekend project buying and setting up a HD Homerun Quatro on my Plex server. Works flawlessly but zero option to edit the recording (one of the best features of EyeTV 3). I did first try to connect my NetStream 4 Sat but just could not get it to work this time around. It previously seemed to work. At least now I have options for recording from Sat and DTV!

    Hi Stuart, 

    I use smart cutter (https://www.fame-ring.com/smart_cutter.html) to edit my Plex recordings. Unfortunately at least on a Mac it is a bit buggy, but better than nothing...

    I gave up, yes. Also my Plex alternative unfortunately didn't work out, so I don't know what else to do...

    I asked Geniatech if there is any chance that the service will be running again at one point. The only answer I got was that they still need time - which is not reliable anymore - this was on September 5th.

    Ich denke es liegt an dem alten System, Apple hat da viel mit den Netzwerkprotokollen gemacht. Ich würde empfehlen auf 10.14 zu gehen und auf den Netstream die neuste Firmware drauf zu spielen. EyeTV 4.0 ist unter 10.14 stabil und der netstream hat relativ neue Protokolle mit der neusten Firmware. Das sollte in der Kombination laufen. Denk daran dein Mac kann nicht jedes System. Sollte es noch ein alter Mac sein, da verwende erst einmal High Sierra, das ist 10.13 unter dem hab ich mit EyeTV 4.0 angefangen. Das sollte auch stabil laufen. Das einzige was es unter 10.13 zu sagen gibt ist, dass manchmal der USB ausfällt, dann einfach einmal aus und einstecken und es funzt wieder.

    Also schau erst nach was dein Mac kann, sonst wird da ein Abenteuer mit bösem Ausgang.

    Danke Dir! Ich muss mal schauen, was mit den Systemen die ich hier hab möglich ist. Der Mac Mini auf dem das derzeit läuft kann leider nichts aktuelleres. 
    EyeTV würde ich in dieser Konstellation gar nicht mehr nutzen, Plex wäre dann die Software bezüglich Aufnahme (EPG) und Mediathek - der EPG sieht sehr vielversprechend aus und ich wäre nicht mehr abhängig von Geniatech bzw. dem Gracenote EPG.

    Auf dem Netstream läuft die neuste Firmware, zumindest das hatte ich die Tage schon mal geprüft.

    Momentan versuche ich es unter 10.11.6 El Capitan. Ich muss mal schauen ob ich eine Möglichkeit habe, es unter 15.7 zu versuchen.

    Ja, man ist leider ziemlich hilflos. Ich schaue mich gerade nach einer Alternative um und versuche über Plex und den Netstream 4Sat weg zu kommen vom Gracenote EPG. Bei Plex kann man zwischen mehreren EPGs wählen, dass sieht auf den ersten Blick nicht schlecht aus, ich bekomme nur leider die Netstream 4Sat nicht zum laufen, ständig die Fehlermeldung das der Sender nicht eingestellt werden konnte obwohl Sender gefunden werden. Ohne Aufnahmefunktion bringt dann halt auch der beste EPG nix 🙄

    I don't think that your IP address is the problem because all of us other users are also unable to connect to the EPG server. It's a technical error on Geniatech side which they try to solve for about two weeks now :(

Das ist zwar mühsam, aber besser als nichts. Zündet eine Kerze an und betet, das die in ihrer Unwissenheit das EPG wieder zun laufen bekommen.     Als Workaround ist das ok, aber halt auch keine Dauerlösung :(

    In EyeTV 3, where your channels/stations are arranged, you can switch the EPG to DVB-EPG instead of Gracenote. You will get at least a few information in the EPG afterwards but you need to make sure to pull the EPG update.

    What's definitely not ok is that they don't provide the service we all paid for.

    Das Zertifikat des dritten Links ist definitv am 27.03.2022 abgelaufen - man kann es erlauben, das ändert aber nichts daran, dass es nicht geht.

    Hi, Du hast Recht, sieht bei mir mittlerweile genauso aus. Entweder haben sie zwischenzeitlich etwas geändert, oder ich hatte vor ein paar Tagen falsch geschaut.

    Wenn das Zertifikat allerdings schon im März abgelaufen war, hätte der Service nach meinem Verständnis ja bereits da nicht mehr funktionieren müssen. Aber keine Ahnung was die da treiben bzw. nicht treiben. Meine letzte Nachricht vom Support ist vom Freitag, immer noch mit der Rückmeldung das sie "dran" sind.

    Über diese Seite bin ich letztes Jahr auch mal gestolpert, dass Zertifikat des letzten Eintrags hatte damals meine ich auch Probleme. Bei mir wird heute angezeigt, dass das Zertifikat ab März 2022 gültig ist und bis April 2024 läuft, allerdings hat der Zertifikatsname ein Problem.

    Ich habe ein Support Ticket aufgemacht https://www.geniatech.eu/support-contact/?Product=eyetv 3 und frage hierüber immer wieder nach. Leider gibt es aber immer noch nichts neues, es heißt immer nur das sie noch dran arbeiten...
