Hi Eric, I also tried smart cutter but unfortunately it crashes very often. Do you have the same issue?

As always, it depends on what you need. I was looking for a new EPG and that's offered by Plex.

As stated here, I switched to Plex:

Yes, but as far as I know only with the EyeTV Netstream 4Sat because Plex needs a SAT>IP-certified receiver.

Hi, I don't use EyeTV (software) at all anymore. I have EyeTV Netstream 4Sat setup as live TV & DVR in Plex (bought a Plex pass a while ago). Therefore I can use the EPG integrated in Plex which comes in very handy (can record complete series etc.). Since the premium EPG in EyeTV was not working anymore I was looking for a different solution.

Exactly, that's why I finally switched to Plex now.

DVB EPG data also worked before and it's free. Gracenote is a payed EPG data service which is offline since August 2022 now.

Are you sure you are updating Gracenote data and not just EPG data? Still not working here on my side.

I gave up, yes. Also my Plex alternative unfortunately didn't work out, so I don't know what else to do... I asked Geniatech if there is any chance that the service will be running again at one point. The only answer I got was that they still need time - which is not reliable anymore - this was on September 5th.

Danke Dir! Ich muss mal schauen, was mit den Systemen die ich hier hab möglich ist. Der Mac Mini auf dem das derzeit läuft kann leider nichts aktuelleres. EyeTV würde ich in dieser Konstellation gar nicht mehr nutzen, Plex wäre dann die Software bezüglich Aufnahme (EPG) und Mediathek - der EPG sieht sehr vielversprechend aus und ich wäre nicht mehr abhängig von Geniatech bzw. dem Gracenote EPG. Auf dem Netstream läuft die neuste Firmware, zumindest das hatte ich die Tage schon mal geprüft.

Momentan versuche ich es unter 10.11.6 El Capitan. Ich muss mal schauen ob ich eine Möglichkeit habe, es unter 15.7 zu versuchen.

Ja, man ist leider ziemlich hilflos. Ich schaue mich gerade nach einer Alternative um und versuche über Plex und den Netstream 4Sat weg zu kommen vom Gracenote EPG. Bei Plex kann man zwischen mehreren EPGs wählen, dass sieht auf den ersten Blick nicht schlecht aus, ich bekomme nur leider die Netstream 4Sat nicht zum laufen, ständig die Fehlermeldung das der Sender nicht eingestellt werden konnte obwohl Sender gefunden werden. Ohne Aufnahmefunktion bringt dann halt auch der beste EPG nix 🙄

I don't think that your IP address is the problem because all of us other users are also unable to connect to the EPG server. It's a technical error on Geniatech side which they try to solve for about two weeks now
