  1. Hello everyone, I have reported the following situation to the GeniaTech Support team. EyeTV 4.0.0 for Mac Build 8528 Intel iMac Monterey 12.6.2 When the view is set to full screen mode (CMD 5), if you use the keyboard number keys to change the channel, then the channel will change and video will play. HOWEVER, the App/GUI will hang with the spinning beach ball. If you right-click on the EyeTV icon in the dock it shows “Application not responding”, and the option to “Force Quit”. As others have noticed, after the channel change the information overlay does not disappear. To me it looks like a threading issue. Interestingly, the problem does not happen in windowed modes (tiny, small, normal, max). Anyone else? Please add “me too”…
  2. I want to thank the Geniatech team publicly. I see plenty of forum members complaining, but the experience I have with Elgato and now Geniatech has been great. I have logged a few issues via support and I have always found the responses to be both swift and engaging.
  3. I have a ticket open with the support team, and I am actively working with them to demonstrate the issue. I have been sent 2 test builds to test so far, with slight improvements from both. Hopefully we can find the root cause of the issue and get it corrected for the next public release...
  4. I too have this issue. My version is EyeTV 4 (64-bit) for MacOS 4.0.0 (8524). The issue only occurs with over the air HD channels (in the UK channel 101 BBC One HD for example). If I switch to the SD version of that channel (channel 1 BBC One for example) the picture and sound sync is okay. I believe the issue is related some debug code that Geniatech may have left in the distributed code. When I open the Console App, select system.log I see what appears to be debug code constantly writing to the log file when using the HD channel, but no such log messages when using the SD channel. e.g. May 22 08:18:41 amd-macpro EyeTV[1342]: Type: I May 22 08:18:41 amd-macpro EyeTV[1342]: Type: B May 22 08:18:42 --- last message repeated 6 times --- May 22 08:18:42 amd-macpro EyeTV[1342]: Type: P May 22 08:18:42 amd-macpro EyeTV[1342]: Type: B May 22 08:18:42 --- last message repeated 6 times --- May 22 08:18:42 amd-macpro EyeTV[1342]: Type: P May 22 08:18:42 amd-macpro EyeTV[1342]: Type: B May 22 08:18:42 --- last message repeated 6 times --- I will try to log this as an issue via the support team
  5. Extend the AppleScript dictionary to provide: a method to call the Update DVB Guide function (there is already an Update Guide method, but that is only capable of updating the commercial guide(s) such as Gracenote). The DVB over the air information is not accessible via AppleScript directly. a method to call the Apply Default Sort Order to the channel list
  6. I also have this issue. Two machines upgraded to High Sierra 10.13. EyeTV operates okay until I try to access the TV GUIDE from the on-screen menu. EyeTV immediately crashes when the Guide is selected from the OSD. The crash is consistent and repeatable. The same computers with Sierra 10.12.x ran okay, no crashes. The crash began to happen after the update to High Sierra. Host computers are: Mac mini 5.2, mid 2011 iMac 11,3 mid 2010, 27” EyeTV full software (not Lite) version 3.6.9 (7520) Hardware is Geniatech EyeTV T2 Lite USB device. I have reported the issue to the support team. I have sent a copy of the crash log.

    EyeTV T2 Lite

I think the Genitech team are still working out the kinks from the handover from Elgato. Certainly the web site needs a little more work. If I navigate to the Support section, choose Software > EyeTV 3, I get a page with a number of historical releases, but the highest release here is 3.6.9 (7416). https://www.geniatech.eu/eyetv/support/eyetv-3-en/ If I navigate to https://www.geniatech.eu/eyetv/software I get to the page with version 3.6.9 (7514). You get here from the product page. Products > Mac & PC > EyeTV T2 [Hybrid] | [Lite]. Scroll down to the 'TV Software for your Mac' section, follow the link here... Hopefully, the Geniatech team will update the support web site to include a link for 3.6.9 (7514)....

    EyeTV T2 Lite

Thank you Sascha! It turns out that I had 3.6.9 (7416) installed. I really do need to pay close attention to the build numbers! I have downloaded and installed 3.6.9 (7514) from your link and it is all working now. Again, thank you

    EyeTV T2 Lite

Thanks Sascha, can I ask what version of EyeTV 3 you have installed? I believe I have the most up to date version installed here, however I cannot select/detect the T2 lite hardware...

    EyeTV T2 Lite

Could a member of the Geniatech team please provide some answers to the following questions: EyeTV T2 Lite hardware is shipped with a download registration code for EyeTV 3 Lite software. This Lite version of the software does not implement many of the features of the full EyeTV 3 software. Can the EyeTV T2 Lite hardware be used with the full EyeTV 3 software? If not, will the EyeTV Lite software be improved over the next few months? Features that I miss the most are Preferences Gracenote Guide Manual tuning Sorting of channels
