  1. I just noticed that the XML TV Listings data is including the season and episode for some, but not all shows. I'm pretty sure this is a new development, but maybe I haven't been paying attention. For those shows that include that data, the "Record All" button is available. That will allow for the automated creation of Smart Guides that I've been missing. It's also nice to have the season and episode info again.
  2. I had this problem when I updated to Mojave. I'd done a clean install of the system software and used the migration assistant to transfer all my old data. My EyeTV Archive folder was on a separate drive though. I guessed that it might be a problem with the permissions of that folder. So I selected the EyeTV Archive folder in the Finder, went to Get Info, clicked the lock in the bottom right corner (requires password) and made sure that the "Privilege" setting for all the Names listed was "Read & Write" although it might only be necessary that your user name is read and write. I then clicked on the preferences icon and selected "Apply to enclosed items…". A pop up then asks if you're sure you want to do this and reminds you that it can't be undone. I'm using EyeTV 3, so not sure if this will work in your situation. Perhaps a way to test this before doing anything is to go to the archive folder and try and put a file you want deleted into the trash. If it asks you for a password, then that might be a sign that it is a permissions problem. This is just a guess though.
  3. Not sure if it's helpful or not (too late for Earl, no doubt), but attached are text files of the GetEPG script and the PLIST file. Unsure if anything strange will happen to them between my uploading and them being downloaded. Note that I switched out my info with generic placeholders, so hopefully I didn't screw anything up in the process. Swap out YOURUSERNAME, YOURAPIKEY and YOURLINEUP. You have to change YOURUSERNAME in the file name of the PLIST file as well. Attached is a zip archive with the 2 files and also each file separately uncompressed. GetEPG com.YOURUSERNAME.GetEPG.plist GetEPG.zip
  4. I sent a reply last night to my original support ticket asking if they'd be providing refunds for those of using HD HomeRun devices that won't be able to use a new build of the software. This was Angela's reply. "Thank you for contacting us.For now, the restoration work is at the testing stage. We will take some actions to support Hdhomerun users or compensate in other ways and will let you know that when it is finished testing. Kind regards,Angela Geniatech EyeTV Support Team"
  5. A few other thoughts. I don't think this has been mentioned – XML TV Listings limits you to 5 downloads per day. That should be plenty for most people, but could pop up as an issue when you're first setting things up, especially if you require more than one lineup (e.g. broadcast and cable/satellite). I assume after 5 downloads it just does nothing, but I haven't tried to do more than that to see if it emails you a warning or something. As for using multiple lineups, in my case broadcast and cable, it seems to work fine. You just have to set up a script and launch agent for each lineup and obviously stagger the times of the downloads. It's probably a good idea to not have any overlapping channels between the multiple lineups though. As far as I can tell, without the TV Guide data, the "Record All" button no longer shows for series. All it did was simplify making a Smart Guide/Playlist though. I assume it's gone as well when using Schedules Direct, but I haven't tried their data. Can anyone confirm?
  6. Thanks so much for doing the research/work on this and making it fairly easy. On the Update EPG Now script, it didn't like it when I put it where you indicated and I think I ended up putting it where you said not to (or at least nearby). It's working there though. I just went to the Scripts menu and clicked on "Open Scripts Folder" and then over to "Open EyeTV Scripts Folder" and it opened a folder in the finder. I dropped it in there and I was good to go. (See image) The path for that folder is /Users/[UserName]/Library/Scripts/Applications/EyeTV/
  7. It's taken me 2 weeks to finally figure out a way to sign up for the forum, so I figured I'd share in case there's others having similar difficulties. Registering for the forum requires that a verification email be sent to you, but it seems that the email from the forum gets blocked my many email hosts. It just doesn't show up – not in spam, nowhere. I tried emails from iCloud, gmail, Yahoo and my business email that's hosted by Zoho. No luck with any of them. So, today, I decided to get an account from Mail.com and voila the verification email came through. It went to spam, but it was there. Anyway, just keep trying email addresses until one of them works, I guess.
