No HD live TV after upgrade to macOS 15.4

Recommended Posts

Hello all,
it seems to be I'm to stupid to use Sentinel ...

I drop the EyeTV app in both options:
'Remove app from Quarantine' and 'Self-sign the app'
I did it with Gatekeeper enabled and Gate keeper disabled ...

What else I have to do?

Great thanks.

I don't know what's happen ....

I did some steps back. I did a clean macOS installation of 15.4.
I installed the old EyeTV 4 (8528) and used Sentinel.
Now EyeTV is working.

Have nice week.

Glad Sentinel s working for you guys.  I'll wait a week or two to see if Elgato surprises me with a fix.  I not, I'll go the Sentinel route.  I've been using EyeTV with my ancient Hybrid (over component video) since 2010.  Agree, the cooperation on these forums is cool.  Thanks.  -Jeff

Yes, had same issue after update to 15.4 (Sequoia) the OS of MacBook Air, EyeTV was only "loading..." endlessly.

I have started downloaded from the official website the "EyeTV Reporter" app for to uninstall first EyeTV application and all other components and files related to EyeTV,:

https://www.geniatech.eu/de/download/eyetv-reporter-64-bit/

then installed the Senitel app for Mac as per the URL link provided in the forum then installed the EyeTV4.0.0_8528 version, used Senitel app, dropping EyeTV app in quarantine then to self sign and worked like a charm. That forum is great! Thank you for the tip!

Till 15.3.2 it was working w/o any problems except the long bug you described ....

Which EyeTV hardware you are using ?

Sorry about the late reply: I'm using an HDHomeRun, as mentioned in my original post.

I am running EYE TV 4.0.0 (8532) app. Hardware EyeTV DTT Deluxe, Firmware 2.05 with DVB-T Channel Decoder Abilis AS102. have tried several reinstalls after I remove (com.elgato.eyetv.world.plist) from my Users/Shared/Library/Preferences. And in which I get everything setup again and TV channels Tuned in. But when I try changing channels it freezes and the beach ball of death occurs. So is it Abilis causing the issue???

Well guys, with much apprehension and concern, I followed the tip of uploading TV Reporter from geniatech (thanks ACS)

https://www.geniatech.eu/de/download/eyetv-reporter-64-bit/

Then uploaded Sentinel.  https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/64643/sentinel

I did not do a fresh install of MacOS 15.4 left it well alone.

Used TV reporter to uninstall EYETV 4. this took a little while but all links etc removed.

Then I opened EYETV 4.0.0 (8528) dmg to place it into Applications.

Then I opened Sentinel and unlocked (orange) the lock icon then dragged EYETV 64 into self-sign the app.

Then I locked the locked the lock icon (green)

Then I started Eye TV 64 bit and reinstalled it and tuned in the TV terrestrial TV stations.

And all so far is working well, able to change channels etc and no freezing etc.

Thanks to members for their input and advice, hope my input will help as well.

Cheers All.
