  1. This is incorrect. Apple announced at WWDC 2025 "Rosetta was designed to make the transition to Apple silicon easier, and we plan to make it available for the next two major macOS releases – through macOS 27 – as a general-purpose tool for Intel apps to help developers complete the migration of their apps. Beyond this timeframe, we will keep a subset of Rosetta functionality aimed at supporting older unmaintained gaming titles, that rely on Intel-based frameworks."
  2. No, there's no need to leave EyeTV running, it will (should?) launch itself at the appropriate time and record the scheduled programme.
  3. Sorry about the late reply: I'm using an HDHomeRun, as mentioned in my original post.
  4. I know this doesn't help, but just to show that this is not a universal problem, it continues to work fine here (except for the long-running "close window before quitting" bug). Mini M1, HDHomeRun
  5. I have to say that it seems to be working well for me (apart from the pre-existing crash-on-quit bug). Mac mini M1 on 15.2, HDHomeRun Duo.
  6. For what it's worth, I had the same issue. Resolved it by running the following command in Terminal (solution found elsewhere on this forum): sudo codesign --remove-signature /Applications/EyeTV.app/Contents/MacOS/EyeTV This is running EyeTV 4.0 (8532) on a Mac mini M1. Suggest keeping a backup (or the installer) of your EyeTV in case it all goes wrong!
  7. Handbrake 1.7.1 has now been released, and the issue appears to have been fixed.
  8. Handbrake 1.7.0 and EyeTV 4 Just a heads-up, the latest version of Handbrake (1.7.0) doesn't automatically see the audio track in recordings made by EyeTV4. The developer says "Eyetv packages are folders that contain multiple files, the code to open files was rewritten and I didn't test it properly with these packages. As a workaround until the next snapshot or release, you can select the correct title from the titles popup button.". This will be fixed in the next release of Handbrake.
  9. The latest version is 8532, so I'm not quite sure what version you're using (possibly 8528?). 8532 works fine here, with one caveat (need to close the EyeTV window before quitting the app, otherwise it crashes). Mac mini M1, Sonoma 14.1.1.
  10. Yes, running 8528 here without any major problem (Intel iMac).
  11. Just a "Plus 1" to thank Delacroix for the link; even though I had what was nominally 8528 (although it said it was 8527), it quit as soon as I tried to launch it. The version downloaded from Mega works perfectly. Maybe Geniatech will get around to putting it on their website eventually...
  12. Thank you SO MUCH for this! This seems to be the answer to the problems that have been plaguing me since EyeTV4 was released!
  13. No you can't. Now do push off, there's a good chap.
  14. Yes, audio out of sync on HD channels, also thumbnails missing in edit mode on HD recordings. Reported to Geniatech Support four months ago, no update since...
