  1. This also drove me nuts. As it turns out there is a command in the context menu of the channel list (right click or control click) that reads "Apply default sort order". For me it does just the opposite: It enables a personal sort order. The German translation "Sender neu sortieren" ("new sorting order") seems clearer.
  2. If you have an old ElGato branded Hybrid it is possible that it just won't work on Apple Silicon. I have two M1 Macs and my old Hybrid does not work with them. It might show a single DVB-C channel but it won't find any other channels. I bought a newer refurbished T2 Hybrid from the European Geniatech Sales page and this does work, of course with all compromises that EyeTV 4 brings.
  3. @aliciaviola I have the very same problem with my old EyeTV Hybrid stick that was still branded by Elgato. The channel search sits there forever without finding any channels. I also have a Geniatech EyeTV Hybrid T2 stick that I bought last year refurbished from the Geniatech Europe store. This one does not have the problem. The newer stick comes without the analog input or a remote but at least it works for general TV watching. I have not tried schedules recordings or the like yet.
  4. Hi @Roland B.! As an EyeTV-User since two decades I totally agree with most of the sentiments in your opening post. I have also been very frustrated with the transition of the product away from Elgato who have moved into another rapidly growing market quite successfully. My feeling is that the team inside Geniatech that is really working on EyeTV is rather small and doing the best they can. Therefore it is possible that the support-person who sent out this link as a quick fix for us early adopters simply does not have the means to post this new version to the web site. I think the version is legit but I have no inside info whatsoever. It works for me and some others. Use at your own risk.
  5. The Mega link can also be found on the RoaringApps page for EyeTV (scroll down to the "compatibility notes"). It that has done the trick for me on an Apple Silicon MacBook Air M1 with EyeTV T2 Hybrid.
  6. If you go to the RoaringApps page for EyeTV and scroll down to the "compatibility notes" there is a link to a version 8528 that has done the trick for me on an Apple Silicon MacBook Air M1 with EyeTV T2 Hybrid.
