  1. I hope that you are right and Geniatech will be positive. But till now (in view own experience mail, their reactions on this forum) I fear that not much will change. They even sell hardware that does not work 100% with their own software. But I keep hoping since EyeTV is basically a good product and much more user-friendly than most other competitive software (MythTV, DVBlink, YVHeadend. Have them all working now)

    Multiple devices...

Buggy? EyeTV is simply crippled and not by accident but on purpose. The problem with multiple tuners has been over 5 years been reported to Elgato all the time by different people. They solved it by simply saying "is not supported". They even never did anything to solve this. Now Geniatech offers even a 4 decoder device (Netstream 4C) and my experience is that EyeTV only allows the use of 2 decoders. In sparse mails they acknowledged the problem but did nothing to solve it. Not even saying "we will solve it" was stated by them.
  3. There is a solution but it is buried in the vaults of the Elgato forum. However Elgato decided (years ago) to kill that forum without any warning so no one was able to save the contents. You might be able to find it using Google. It was however a rather complex procedure where you had to make changes to several XML file. Resulting in problems when an update was done. Also scheduling becomes less flexible. Better solution would be to use a different antenne system that is able to receive the correct signal.
  4. I never use the built in conversions anymore. It takes too much time and too much resources. Handbrake does a much better job.
  5. I am also afraid for that. Elgato has neglected the user for years (no real updates, no new devices added, no response to questions and more) and now Geniatech looks going the same way (Netstream 4C only 2 decoders usable, no real software update, all like Elgato. So I am fervently testing TVHeadend (free, Nas only), MythTV (free) and DVBlink (paid). Also because I am forced to since I have a HDHR3-4DC that is not supported by EyeTV (Why? Is identical to HDHR3-EU but has 4 instead of 2 decoders). I would prefer to stay with EyeTV because despite its handicaps it is the most user-friendly.
  6. I would create the clips using EyeTV and then connect the resulting mpg's (extract them from the file.eyetv with a simple Drag&Drop on MKVtoolNix and within seconds you have a perfectly concatenated movie.
  7. Why on earth would you want to do things like that on IOS? You cannot install EyeTV on IOS. There is only a simple app that enables you to make client use of EyeTV installed on a Mac.
  8. Can easily be done with "EyeTV Reporter". Backup all setting, copy file to new system, install EyeTV, install saved settings, start EyeTV and you should have all settings.
  9. Download EyeTV Reporter and select 'Easy" then "backup preferences". Copy EyeTV & EyeTV Reporter and resulting file to the new iMac. Place the 2 EyeTV's in applications on the new iMac, the datafile in Download, start EyeTV Reporter, select "Easy", select Restore Preferences". Now all should work with no need for retuning.
  10. Why? I don't know. I stopped letting EyeTV doing the conversion the moment I discovered Handbrake because speed is much higher and target file way smaller than EyeTV's target file. It's not you doing anything wrong.
  11. Better use Handbrake(.fr). It can process the .eyetv and has many advantages like very fast (as opposed tot EyeTV's conversion) and many presets.
  12. It is even not able to use the 4 decoders in their own Netstream 4C. Apparently their software people are unable to delete a few lines of coding in EyeTV. Shame on both companies.
  13. Beware. I've had one for almost 30 days. Never was able to use more than 2 out of 4 decoders. Mail with Geniatech did not bring any solution. Also, it will not work with widespread software like DVBlink and TVHeadend. So it's a waste of money.
  14. It is really a must that EyeTV support the present HDHR devices (4 decoders) and remove the present restriction that only 2 can be used. HDHR3-4DC (aka HDHomeRun Expand) is the most widely sold device in Europe. And it works for 100% with DVBlink, TVHeadend and others. Only EyeTV has this really Abnormal restriction. The (present!) software is easily capable of it, only needs deleting a handful lines of code.
  15. No idea why Geniatech does not provide this info.
  16. Is in the App Store. See on your aTV.
  17. Since the first day EyeTV was released it was purposely limited to 2 decoders in 1 device. Legato has always refused to remove this limit. The "new" Geniatech also does not remove this limit and even their own Netstream 4C is limited to 2 devices. (meaning you pay € 160 and can only use € 80 worth) I have had an extensive mail about this with them but they clearly don't care. So my advice to you is use either TVHeadend (if you also have a NAS) or get yourself a copy of DVBlink (dvblogic.com) and then you will be able to use all 4 decoders. So I sent de Netstream back to the retailer and bough a HDHomerun Expand & use with DVBlink. Geniatech suffers the same disease as Elgato: not interested for wellbeing customers. Too bad, with a little effort they would have a good software product and many more users.
  18. Why use Gracenote? In most European countries there are programs that generate a XMLTV file which can be used with programs like EyeTV.
  19. Apparently competitors are more interested in their potential clients than Elgato/Geniatech was/is. There is now an aTV4 app here available https://itunes.apple.com/tr/app/livezapp-for-eyetv/id1064882643?mt=8 made by company BigB. Maybe this will give Geniatech a push to deliver not only a 100% working EyeTV but also the necessary extra apps?
  20. Elgato has built in numerous restrictions in EyeTV with the sole purpose of only selling their own devices. Legato always has refused to remove these destruction and Geniatech seems to be no bit better to me. I have had a long conversation about this because I detected that even their own Netstream 4C was crippled into using only 2 (out of 4) decoders). They have till today not being allot to solve it. The 4C is back to the reseller, replaced by a HDHR expand en for software I now use DVLogic. Which is even cheaper and support about all that goed over Ethernet.

Can you setup a RSS-feed for the forum. Now I see it only on some topics.
  23. And let's hope they don't screw up like Elgato did.
  24. This works but does not renumber the channel numbers so result looks weird.
  25. When will all 4 decoders be used by EyeTV. Presently is does not.
