Keine Ahnung ob es aut. aktiviert ist. Schaue mahl nach im System Preferences --> Security/Privacy.
  2. Sorry, no. Just Google on "netstream firmware" and you most likely will find some links to older firmware. Beware that often there are checks to prevent installing older FW.
  3. When I want to use EyeTV from remote I simply put "IPofHome:2170/eyetv" in any browser and I can watch live & recorded TV. Haven't used in for a long time but never had a problem. It means that port 2170 must (1) be forwarded within your local network and (2) this port must not be blocked on the remote network.

    Multiple devices...

The Extend is a US device, problems mentioned by me are with EU devices. Might be a difference there. Do I correctly understand that you use software to skip commercials in combination with EyeTV? Can you give me a URL?
  6. Ome more point. Don't know where you are living but US hardware will not work in EU Vince versa. No idea how the software will handel in such cases. Otherwise, keep buiging Geniatech for a solution and let know here since might be usefull for others.
  7. I don't really have a solution (I'm not a Geniatech/Elgato employee). The serial number has to be typed exactly as shown so: no leading/following spaces, dashes beware of 0 (zero) and o (oh). Did you also try to fully install the original disc and then the latest update on top of it? Are you sure it is a legal license. Is it on the original card. I'm not 100% certain but to my knowledge 250 is quite old (around 2007) and in that time there was no v3. Sorry, I have no solution. As a last resort: bombard Geniatech with mail and PM the Admins listed here.
  8. Genitech is just as bad (if not worse) in the customer support as Elgato was. I don't have much hope it will improve. Too bad, result is that EyeTV is more and more considered to be abandonware. What problem do you have? The latest version of EyeTV should work without any problems with the regular version of Sierre. Maybe someone her has a solution.
  9. Are you sure the original software that came with the 250 was version 3? In my memory it was sold together with version 2. V2 licenses will not work with v3. In the Elgato time you could upgrade from v2 to v3 with a rebate. No idea whether this is still possible, What is the reason you were unable to install the v2/original software?
  10. Instead of using the built in conversion better user handbrake(.fr). This is free and gives a good result.
  11. Problem long solved: Buy any HDHR and use either DVBlink or TVHeadend and you have all your wishes fulfilled. For DRM channels get a separate software added.

Wenn es vorher im 100% identischen zustand richtig funktionierte dan schaue mahl auf enen Firewall.
  13. All that is needed is a valid(!) key.
  14. I use HDHomerun as decoder device. It happen quite often that one of the tuners is not unlocked at the end of a recording. This leads to problem with the next recording since the device is then still in use. So you should look over the coding to see why and when the unlocking is not done.
  15. Basic rule for all software: 1. Don't be the first to install updates but wait for at least a week. 2. Don't update if there is no improvement that one needs. 3. Always backup to a clone before any major update.
  16. 1. You will have problems with HDHR the moment you restart the device if/and it is connected to Internet. Just follow the links I gave in previous message and you will find confirmation from Silicon Dust. 2. When using the 'retail' version of Sierra then EyeTV 3.6.9 (built not important) will work without any problem. 3. About reliability of Geniatech see the Open letter posted elsewhere on this forum. Big plus: worse than Elgato is nearly impossible.
  17. The 2 have no relation. In he EyeTV app you define your own ID/Password and that must be identical to the ID/Password that you use on iPhone/iPad.
  18. (Posted here since there is no suitable section) Silicon Dust has made changes to their network structure and that leads to problems for HDHR devices that run older Firmware. Solution is to upgrade FW to the latest which is a bit tricky. Latest firmware can be found here: http://www.silicondust.com/support/downloads/ About the problem, read here: http://bit.ly/2gBeWVA & http://bit.ly/2gB2oxI & http://bit.ly/2g0unTX Basically the problem is that the HDHR does not work at all anymore. PS: Everyone using a HDHR please write a PM that Geniatech should support all HDHR devices.
  19. Check that is it (series) not missing in the EPG information.
  20. Or simpler: - make the "EyeTV Archive" folder on A sharable - use (most) any Videoplayer on B to play the [recording].eyeTV (installing EyeTV on both is better looking)
  21. I think the numbers are decided by hardware/provider. If I use Hybrid(s) then I can define the sorting order and the numbering will follow that. If I use HDHR then I can sort like I want but the numbers remain the same as defined by the provider. What is needed is the option to use a user defined numbering.
  22. I think it is important to point out that I look at the whole matter from the viewpoint of a regular user as in Mac/consumer. So the use in large professional/commercial environments has not my interest. Also then I would never look at Geniatechs products but would start using Silicon Dust TECH4-*DT products. Also these are geared toward Windows it is a complete different game. Personally I do not think there is a market for these Tech4 type devices within the Mac community. On Netstream 4C. Maybe you are not aware how this product is sold. it is sold as an alternative for HDHR and more specifically geared for Mac Users. So people compare this to the HDHR3-4DC. Both have 4 decoders so people expect that EyeTV (specifically mentioned as The Software) will be able to use all 4 decoders. Similar to the way the 4DC's 4 decoders can be used simultaneously. On the Mac side there is no resource problem. The fact that all 4 can be used at the same time if and when different devices are used has no value. For consumers scheduling of shows is important. How to do that when it has to be done on different devices? Also I do think that 4-tuner devices are the normal mainstream for consumers. The HDHR3-4DC is a big selling success over here. It cost about the same as the old 2-decoder device which is not even for sale anymore because there is no market for it. Pricewise your Hybrid (1-decoder), 4C, 4DC are all nearly same price. So the choice is easy. For most consumers all you have to do is lift off the limitations Elgato built in years ago. Limitations in the number of same devices that can be attached (why max. at 2 Hybrids of 2 HDHr's?), the number of decoders per device. Offcourse there is the chance that someone with a 2006 Mini will try to connect 5 Hybrids. But there will always be awkward people. Also solve the apparent Gracenote problem (I don't have it since I use XML for guide info). And last but not least, assign someone to read daily the forum and reply to messages so that people get the feeling they are listened to. The Elgato forum was a lively forum for many years which many solutions (often by users) for all kind of problem. With a little effort from your side this forum can be made same and that is good for your company. (you could also hand the specs of 4C to DVBlink and let them incorporate it. Their software is pretty good except for their lousy scheduling)
  23. Thanks for the answer at last. I will try to keep it short. Will there ever be a aTV app? After CES2017? Very late but let's hope this deadline is met. Advice: buy the product from BgB and improve this. Will cost max. 1 month. As for the HDHomeRun EXTEND and HDHomeRun EXPAND, EyeTV 3 was never designed to work with those devices, and won’t be updated in the future to support them. Sorry but there is not a really big technical difference between these products and the older HDHR. Difference is 2 versus 4 tuners. But no matter what. If you keep insisting on not supporting these 2 (very popular!) products than it is really good riddance to EyeTV. Be honest, other products like DVBlink, TVHeadend, MythTV have supported these products from day 1 they were for sale! but Apple has made some significant changes, Really sorry but I must say this is 100% nonsense. I have a default iMac 2013 (now Sierra, El Capitan earlier) and at this very moment I am running EyeTV i.c.w. 2 HDHR3-EU + 1 Hybrid and also DVBLink with HDHR3-4DC also a total of 9 decoders! My iMac never uses more than about 30% CPU. On the side I do a lot of video conversion (Handbrake), watch live TV and never ever I have any problem with response or whatever. (PS: I use both software because EyeTV has excellent Scheduling) So don't blame it on "significant changes". EyeTV is the culprit and it is all caused because Elgato has refused for very many years to do any update on the product even going solar as to not give any customer support at all. Summary: So I once again challenge you to make this into a useful competitive product. Download TVHeadend/DVBlink/MythTV (all free) and see what they have and how they do it. On the Netstream 4C I want to add: this is really something YOU ought to be ashamed of. Selling a product (4 decoders) that does NOT function as sold. Meaning people buy it and have to return it to seller. As long as you are unable to get your own hardware functioning you will not get any credit/believe that you will get other products working. Advice: Announce within max. 3 months EyeTV 4 that works with all regular hardware. Invite 25 Beta testers (during those 3 months, not after) and put the product on sale for €/$ 25 for all those having valide license now and 45€/$ for new customers not buying your hardware (free included otherwise). Do whatever you like but once people have switched then you will have lost them forever.
  24. 1. By using the left-Click contact menu you get more control. 2. Better, use Handbrake (free external software). Is faster, more efficient an all control you want.
